I used Tasty Catering this past weekend for a residential Christmas Party. They were fantastic from service when ordering the food, to delivery, set-up and pick-up. They came within their window of time and set-up the food. You can rent chafing dishes from them to keep the food warm. They made sure everything was good to go and in order. They bring everything, serving ware, plates, forks, spoons, bowls, and even a salt and pepper shaker. Their food is fantastic. I got the Turkey with Stuffing, Herb Crusted Pork Loin, Red Potatoes, Eleven Veggie Salad, Farfalle Pasta with Mushroom sauce (this was the big hit) and mixed veggies. It also came with bread. Pricing was very decent especially for the amount of food you get!! Pick-up was easy, my hubby just emptied the chafing dishes (filled with liquid) and placed them outside on the porch. In one of the big ones, I placed all of the serving items. They came by and I didn't even realize that they were outside until I noticed everything was gone. I am definitely using them again in the future.

I am looking for a caterer for a big party and Tasty Catering came highly recommended. The interactive website is great. I called in to place my order and ask a few questions and a friendly woman told me she would send me a list of other caterers in Chicago because she was a little far away and delivery would be at least $125. Just surprised they didn't try to retain me as a client as I would have had no problem paying for the extra delivery fee.

I've never really noticed Catering services until I came across this one. Our company had a company picnic and Tasty Catering was there to service there food. We chose the items on the menu so we knew what we had to expect, but let's just say they were above and beyond my expectations of a Catering Service. They came and had set themselves up under there tent and had servers at each station. The servers were able to tell you exactly what was being served and were VERY friendly to everyone. Yes, it was a hot sunny day and I probably would have hated being there under the heat and serving food, but this staff was GREAT. The staff was very attentive to the people and were always willing to help out (even cutting cake!) The meals itself were not your typical hot dogs and burgers. Yes, we had those items, but for some reason it tasted so much better when they cooked it. The drinks were always cold because the person in charge of that station always made sure there were nice cold ones for everyone. The dessert table was crazily good! The server there had manned the cotton candy machine as well as the make-it-yourself ice cream station. Wow was she always kept busy that day. When the day was done and over, the staff had cleaned up so nicely and even packed up the food that we didn't get to finish. We were able to take that back to the company for seconds the next day. They packed it into containers as well as placed them in bags for us to carry. Usually places like there would just watch the clock and pack up to go and leave all the food left to the customers to deal with. I tried looking into this place for catering for my little girls party, but the price ranges are more for businesses.

They catered an event I went to recently and the food was fantastic. The cheese Danish at the breakfast bar was outstanding and I wish I could find something like this elsewhere.

I just want to say that I used Tasty Catering for my company picnic and it was a fabulous hit! Everyone loved it! The service from the start to finish was amazing! I will use them again and again for all functions. Their customer service is absolutely great! They could not have been more friendly and professional.

Catering in Chicago has many choices. When I needed to put together a large picnic/corporate event earlier this year, I researched catering in Chicago and Chicago caterers heavily. Not just here on yelp, but on real corporate sites, etc. Tasty Catering seemed to have more positive feedback and reviews than any other Chicagoland caterer. So I rolled the dice... The experience could not have been better. From the moment I used their awesome interactive web site to when I spoke on the phone with a lovely woman, Tasty Catering was not only completely professional, but downright friendly and helpful. My event was two-fold and this is why I was so nervous about choosing the right caterer. I needed a picnic setup and run for 85 people, but I also needed 40-50 breakfasts delivered ON THE SAME DAY! Oh, and did I mention that the breakfast delivery was about 35 miles from where the picnic was happening? Yeah. Tasty's people eased my mind, assuring me they could handle it. And they did. The breakfasts were delivered by a clean, professional looking and friendly driver who setup all the breakfasts like a ninja! The company CEO was giving a talk when Tasty arrived (on time) and the driver set everything up in complete silence. Half the people had no idea food was even there until we told them! The breakfasts were all warm and tasty. I had zero complaints and many compliments. In my experience, getting catered breakfasts served warm and yummy is a rare thing. Tasty catering nailed it. Now, onto the same day picnic... because of the time of year, I knew we couldn't do an outside picnic (Chicago weather). But I wanted that feel. So the Tasty person I spoke with (wish I could remember her name) came up with the GENIUS idea of an indoor picnic with outdoor food. Despite the indoor setting, Tasty cooked burgers on a grill outside -- dealing with horrendous winds and icy rain. The burgers were not only PERFECTLY COOK burgers to order fresh off the grill, but despite 85 people wanting to eat at the same time, no one waited more than one minute. Tasty Catering timed everything perfectly. The burgers were some of the best I've had anywhere in Chicago. And again, as you know from my other reviews, customer service is #1 to me. I never saw anything but a smile on the Tasty people's faces and they treated all of us like family. Tasty Catering customer service was the only thing better than their food. Every employee we dealt with was professional and friendly and did their job exactly as I hoped. I was so impressed at the end of the day, I would have been willing to pay twice what Tasty charged me. And the fact that they came up with ways to improve my duel-event day, and pulled it off without a hitch was amazing. When I want any type of catering done in Chicago, or anywhere near the Chicago area, Tasty catering will be the ONLY place I call.

I wanted to acknowledge Tasy's reply in addressing my comments. I appreciate that they care enough to acknowledge my concerns and are looking to build upon them to make things better. It is because of this I will be using them next time I cater an even in their area. Thanks!

We had a great experience working with Tasty as the caterer for our wedding this year. We worked with Erica at Tasty and we were able to stay within our budget quite nicely. Also, people raved about the food and service at the wedding. They were great to work with and we were happy with the results, what more can I say?

Tasty Catering bought out one of our caterers that we had used for years, so when we first went to them, we expected the same level of food and service. No such luck. We've used them several times, but have been unimpressed by the quality of the food and the delivery service. Everything tends toward a same level of blandness - the chicken and the beef don't taste that different from one another, the breads are average, at best, the vegetables are always overcooked (a problem when getting food catered especially given the distance.) we ordered the gyros once, and while the meat was tasty, the pita was stale and the tzatziki was little more than yogurt with a few cucumber slices in it. I could live with this if it wasn't so much more expensive than other caterers in the area - but the prices are almost double that of the other services we use. Add to this the delivery fees and tips and it's completely out of line with the quality of food. I can't recommend them - they don't live up to their own advertising (of which there is far too much.) Maybe if they spent less on emails and billboards, and more on the quality of their cooking we'd use them again, but as things stand, I won't use them to feed my customers.

First off, dont call during lunch hours because they wont answer, and if they do it will be a long time later and probably won't return your call (The time when people who are planning office or catering usually call on their lunch break, so why wouldnt they cater to that?) Secondly, they advertise that they will deliver anywhere, especially their online advertising. I tried to order breakfast and lunch for 15 people in Lansing, IL and after the order they told me it was too far away and not worth their while to go that far. Food is overpriced and their service is horrible. Dont bother.

I used Tasty Catering for an event at work (three BBQs - at the same time, in three different locations). They did a great job! I worked with Tom Walters to set everything up and he was extremely helpful and very flexible. He bent over backwards to make sure our event went well and that I was satisfied. Unfortunately, we had some issues with our accounts payable office, so our final payment was delayed. Tom was very understanding and patient while we worked out the issues. Tom is a great businessman and it's clear why this company is so successful!
